OUR PURPOSE: Our chief end in worship is to magnify God and to enjoy His presence as we come with hearts of thanksgiving and praise.
Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD;
Praise Him, O you servants of the LORD!
You who stand in the house of the LORD,
In the courts of the house of our God,
Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good;
Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
The are several opportunities for you and your family to serve the Lord and our church family in the music ministry.
KIDS PRAISE! These are children’s choirs beginning at age four. For the little ones ages 4-5, Music Time is the choice for you; for school age children grades 1-3, Music Makers would be ideal for your child, and for those children in grades 4-6, the Young Musicians is the choir that they will enjoy. All of our children’s choirs rehearse on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:25 PM. It is usual to have two concerts a year and the occasional appearance on Sunday morning. The Young Musicians often perform a humorous, but God focused musical. Your children will learn a lot about music all while learning what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth.
YOUTH PRAISE! Our youth group has it’s own Praise Team, if your son or daughter has an interest in playing or singing with this ensemble, Pastor Jim would love to hear from you.
ADULT PRAISE! Anyone over the age of 14 is welcome to sing in our Adult Choir, this choir rehearses Wednesday evenings 8:15-9:15 PM. This choir leads in worship on Sundays every few weeks and presents a beautiful and worshipful Easter performance every year. For the Christmas season, they work up a Cantata that they present at local missions, and area shelters, where after presenting the gospel they often help serve a meal. And of course the Cantata is presented to our own church as well.
Instrumentalist’s are welcome and are invited to audition their prepared piece for a Special Music segment for one of our services or perhaps you would like to be a part of our Worship and Praise Teams. These men and women are called of God to lead in worship at Fellowship. New members are welcomed on the Praise Teams by invitation and audition only. If you feel called of God to participate in the leading of worship at Fellowship, please contact Pastor Jay.
We also have the occasional talent night, Valentine’s banquet or other event and your talents in music or drama would be a welcome addition to the fun and festivities.
